The challenge
Installing hundreds of thousands of meters in rural areas is a challenging task in itself and doing it in a pandemic year adds even more challenges.
Identifying accurate location of consumers especially in areas which had no internet connectivity or very poor network strengths, inaccurate GIS coordinates from legacy systems, scanning several sheets and pages during the meter installation, tracking movement of field teams and daily reporting were the key challenges faced by the project management team.
The Solution
Linkwell used various modules of styra which helped them to carry out consumer indexing effortlessly by using the offline feature of the mobile app in no internet zones. Geo coordinates were captured during consumer indexing which were used to locate the consumers by meter installation teams in subsequent phases of the project. All paper based photocopying was avoided by capturing photos of all important documents and images during consumer indexing and meter installation, this saved lot of time and efforts.
